This traditional version of Cassie Tea is based on an herbal tea developed by Rene Caisse. The tea was established after centuries of successful use in detoxifying the body.

This formula has been gentle and at the same time powerful in supporting those experiencing degenerative disease.

Ingredients

  1. Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) is used to assist against ailments and complaints of the gastrointestinal tract, as a diaphoretic and diurectic, and for blood purifying.
  2. Sheep Sorel Herb (Rumex acetosella) is a supportive blood purifier. The leaves of the genus Rumex are a rich source of Vitamin C, but should not be eaten uncooked, as they "contain oxalic acid, which can aggravat gout.".
  3. Slippery Elm Bark (Ulmus fulva) is popular in sore throat remedies, and to soothe "irritated mucus membranes" and soothe and moisten the respiratory tract. Traditional uses include contribution to treating "diarrhea, hemorrrhoids, ulcers, sores and wounds."
  4. Turkey Rhubarb Root(Rheum officinale) is a supportive laxative with tannins, which are astringent.

Contraindications and Cautions
Do not use Turkey Rhubarb root if pregnant or nursing. Turkey Rhubarb is contraindicated in intestinal obstruction, abdominal pain of unknown origin or any inflammatory condition of the intestines (appendicitis, colitis, Chrohn's disease, irritable bowel, etc.); and in children less than 12 years of age; individuals with a history of kidney stones should use this herb cautiously. Discontinue use in the event of diarrhea or watery stools. Not for long term use.

See your health care provider prior to use if: you are pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition, or when taking any medication.

Individuals with a history of kidney stones should use Sheep Sorrel herb cautiously.
